I wouldn't say that it's normal but it seem's to be very common. I lived in London for 3 years after college and I met very few Brits who were proud of their country, culture or heritage. Many were planning to move away - usually to Australia. I often heard that the British policy on providing amnesty to foreign nationals was too soft and that Britain wasn't Britain anymore.

maybe in ur last life,u lived somewhere else, and still feel drawn to that ? u dont have to feel nationalistic, isnt it better to be a "citizen of the world",anyway?just feel good about urself, and ur charactor.if u visit america, tho,u may love being british.in general,we admire the uk for various reasons, and in general, welcome guests from the uk.after all,u started our country,we have a common language, but so many dissimilarities, its fascinating.plus,u never can appreciate ur home untill u've left it-and realised there are things u truly admire, and truly miss, that previously u had taken for granted.a trip anywhere outside the uk might make u see home in a new light,or perhaps,u are someone who could find more fullfillmenbt as an ex-pat,in thailand or canada or mexico-anywhere !clarify what u want, and go there-the world is urs !!!!!

British do not tend ot be nice people in General. Very angry and selfish. But of course that is a generalisation and there are many nice people.
Try visiting other countries so that you can see the difference.
I did and I now live in Thailand where anger is socially unacceptable and there is very little graffiti and larger louts.
So and try other countries

Patriotisms is overrated for some. It's like being religious, there are extremes, middle of the line people and then some who don't believe at all.
By the way, you have a great accent, if you come to America everyone will love you for it.

Then I guess you should move and change your accent, find a country you like, and settle down.
