I read an article on this, and it seems that there weren't any lines at Best Buy the day before launch. They probably have some available.
It shouldn't be too hard to find - there were lines to buy the PS3 because they only released 400,000 systems initially. Nintendo released 4-5 times that amount for the Wii, so from what I've heard, most buyers aren't afraid that they won't be able to get one.

I'd suggest calling the stores beforehand, though, to reserve a system, and so you don't end up driving to several stores that could be sold out.

I've heard that most stores have received their shipments, some are selling them and some are saving them for Black Friday. Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, Toys "R" Us are a few examples where you can buy a Wii...

Are you all serious? All the stores here are out. Seems they were out within 5 minutes of the stores opening. Sat. night, Wmart, Target, and best buy all had LOOOOOOOOOOONG lines so we stayed away. Now, everyone is saying no more shipments before Christmas. We don't know who to believe anymore.
