My baby has about 4-5 ounces of formula every 3-5 hours. I feed him about 4 spoonfuls of stage 1 Gerber about 3 times a day. Is that enough?? He seems to be happy. Are babies at this stage supposed to eat 1 full container of stage 1 Gerber?? He weighs 19 pounds right now.

Every baby is different. As long as he is happy, has good skin color, is active (not lethargic) or anything, he is probably just fine.

My daughter was breastfed until about 5 months. Then I started offering a little food. She wouldn't eat. Never really started eating until she was almost a year old! She was healthy, except for a drop in iron.... so we put her on supplements because she was a bit anemic. She simply didn't want to eat. I worried too, but the doctor told me she was just fine and still growing on the curve on her growth chart.

Best Wishes,

Sue

When you say "spoonfuls" do you mean a baby spoon or a tablespoon? At that age he generally should be getting about 3 to 4 feedings daily of formula at about 24 to 32 oz / 720-960 ml daily; two feedings a day of 2-5 tbsp each for the cereal; and two feedings a day of 3-5 tbsp each for the fruits and veggies. My girl didnt weigh 19lbs until 9mths, and she was born a big baby! I'd say he's more than fine with how much he is taking in. Dont push food too hard, little tummies are full fast (even though it doesnt seem like it is enough to you). In fact, I didnt start solids with my girl until she was 6mths, and then we started just a few bites ONCE a day, worked up to twice a day when she was around 7mths I think. Sounds to me like you have a good eater on your hands, dont worry about trying to get him to eat more! Sure way to set up an eating disorder that lasts a lifetime if you try to make him finish when he isnt interested.

the load which you have stated for a six month old infant - 8 kg - is extremely adequate. some toddlers even after one 300 and sixty 5 days do not accomplish that weight. So the quantity you feed is extremely adequate for him. Secondly, for the duration of teething time all toddlers have a sort of discomfort of their gums and choose directly to bite at in spite of they get to. it is everyday behaviour and you gets some teething toys. yet verify they're sparkling. At this age that's stable to start stable ingredients like mashed potatoes and non milk drinks like juices and soups. in any case those are some minor up bringing problems all mothers face. all the main suitable

My son is over 9 months and weighs about that much too, he eats half a small jar of any stage food. So as long as he's content, he's probably full. You're doing a great job ! Don't stress too much on the amount and just follow his queues.

as a mother of three I have learned that when children are hungry they will tell you, ask your doctor if you can give him yogurt yet, and you can feed babies eggs which my daughter of 14months loves, just make sure to cook them thoroughly. Kida weigh differently mine is only 20 lbs at 14months so that isnt a good way to judge, just pay attention to your instincts!

He should be eating close to a full jar of baby food now! He can also eat some table food like mashed potatoes and some ground up foods!

Your son is only a couple weeks older than mine and yours is 3 lbs heavier, so I think he's eating enough! It's very individual, but usually if he's putting on weight then he's healthy.

Good luck to you.
