I think leggins are nice, under a skirt. But not too nice on their own. You don't have to match it with your shirt, but match it with your skirt, if it's light, but on light leggings etc.

:]

At you height, I would match your leggings to your top. It will elongate your body. You don't want to wear a top that is too big or full because it will make you look shorter. Keep the look long and lean with belts or cute short boots. If you can find old pictures of the singer Pat Benetar, that will give you some ideas of how to do the look for a short, thin girl.

i like leggings. u can wear them with an oversized sweater or a sweater dress. that looks really cute. or u can wear it with a tunic top and a broad waist belt and a pair of pumps. or with a short skirt and a top. whichever look u prefer. and legging don't always have to match ur shirt. black legging go with pretty much anything.

i think leggings look nice under a skirt but shouldnt be worn just by themselves with a top! depending on what colour leggings they are depends on whether they should match ur shirt...i personally think black leggings are best because they match all colours!

wear leggings with a short skirt, a short dress, or a long top-with a belt at the waist. I love leggings. and no they dont have to match your shirt, but it is nice to have the same color scheme--no black with brown etc....

Leggings are cute with a short skirt (denim, mini or bubble) and would look better if matched with the top. I wore them back in the early 90's with babydoll tops (I was in college). Nowadays, I think that they're better suited for middle and high schoolers and not for anyone older.

I think it is a good idea to wear leggings that match your shirt, but I mostly see people wearing black ones nowadays. I think it looks better on a bit taller average sized girls, cuz it gives 'em a sleek silhouetted look.

i really like leggings..but they got played out and soo i dont wear them..only when i need to like i'll wear em under a dress and as far as the colors..they should only be in 4 colors and thats black, white, blue, and grey and maybe cream...any other colors just look stupid like this chick at school wears this grey and black striped miniskirt and wears leggings of the same pattern and color and she looks like a rotton candycane..uggh..and i dont think everyone can pull off leggings under a skirt..short little chubby girls cant wear them because they look fat and stupid..but they could pull it off under a dress and your leggings dont have to match what ur wearing...just make sure you dont use the funky patterns and stick to the basic colors

Leggings are basically footless tights. I don't see how they're a 'fashion disaster'. They can look fine by matching them to your shirt, but I think they look best either when you want to look nice and get a neutral color, or when you want to be eclectic and add a burst of color.
