Hey, you have PLENTY of other choices to temp work. No one is forcing you to do temp work. When you go in, you know what you're going to get.

You do not offer any solution to your "problem" so it seems to me that there is nothing wrong with temp services. Plus, a lot of temps only work when they feel like it or when they need more money for drugs and liquor, so BOTH sides are being used. The agency has no idea how many people it will have for work in the morning and the guys have no idea if they'll have work or what it will be.

They sure are. While I had my own carpentry business,I had to use temp agencies from time to time in order to get workers. What these workers were paid equaled less than half of what I was paying the agencies.I was paying full fledged carpenter wages to laborers.I paid more than 35.00 an hour for so so carpenters.I don't think any of these workers got any benefits, other than temporary employment.I'm sure there are worse cases than these I've noted.
