There is no simple way to retrieve History once it is deleted. However, if you are trying to see if you can track where someone went on the Internet, you can look in the temp file folder that is under their ID. Even though they deleted the History, they may not have removed the temp files that will hold all the pictures that were on the web sites they visited. While you may not be able to get the web site names (and you might if the web site uses a graphich for its name), but you might be able to tell if the sites had porn pictures, etc., on them.

There is computer software you can buy which will recover deleted files but if you are computer illiterate you will find it very difficult so I would forget it and try not to do it again.

Nope. Well, actually, it depends on your browser. It's virtually impossible to delete history on IE, it keeps popping back up again.
