Well, algae is a plant, for one. Fungi is not a plant, it is fungi. Just as all sorts of plants exist, all sorts of fungi exist. Mushrooms and toadstools are the best known types of fungi.

Algae grows on or in water. It is a organism that feeds itself, and needs only a small amount of sunlight to survive. I do not know about fungi, sorry.

algae is a plant and has chlorophyll.. it uses the sun's rays to photosynthesize. Fungus is not a plant and has no chlorophyll.

Fungi usually break down dead plant and animal material.
