Well how can put this. Lets just start with some advice from my own, lots of friends and relatives personal experience. Don't never think that you are prepare to start relationship with an other person, cause there is no way to get ready for such task. Date is the first step you take to the adult life, so it is really complicated to set age for a child since is not a child business. But lets say that my 12 years old girl ask me the same question, considering that she is not prepare and never will totally ready for this, my answer will be; wait as longer you can, cause once you take this step you are going to left behind something great which is your childhood the most wonder full and best time of our life. So after this, arises an other question, for how long a child can be a child? well this is far away more simple and good to answer. For as long you don't need to be an adult.

I am 14 and I say that it depends on the maturity of the child but it needs to be at least 13 and up. To me 13 is pushing it though, I think the children should at least have an adult present preferably a parent. I also think that before they go both the girl and the guy's parents should get together to discuss boundaries.

Double date at 13 or so. Alone around 15 or 16. But myself and my husband will have to meet all dates first. That was the rules for me when I was growing up too.

That depends on ur definition of wat dating is. Does that mean having a boyfriend or does that mean going on an actually date like dinner and a movie? A child shouldn't be dating. A teen or young adult can tho. In my case, I'm 16 and my mom is just really letting me do both. She allows me to go on dates with my boyfriend, but she prefers us to go on group dates. I think it is all about responsibility

i think age sixteen ,at that age a child is mature enough to go on dates by themselves. If a child is even dating at thirteen it should be group dating and that is still young ,children shouldn't be expose to adult life until they are old enough to do so and too many bad things happen to adults on dates much less young girl ,wait until u feel u can manage dating when to say stop or i need u to take me home now.

I always thought childhood romance was kinda cut :] but i would say 10-13 depending on maturity of the child and if they are not struggiling in school no problem for me but if i were to see strugillng that means the boyfriend is going buh-bye :]
