I would buy an island in French Polynesia. No electric lights at night, just torches along the beach and an incredibly dark starry sky above me whilst I sway back and forth in my hammock sipping Pina Coladas with a bevy of gorgeous dark haired Tahitian beauties, basking in the cool night breezes coming in off the water and listening to the soft laughter emanating from the palm forest behind me.

Take on activities that were interesting and worthwhile but but didn't come with adequate salaries.
Museum-connected, possibly.
Study. Something in history, something in philosophy or other special interest.
And relax, knowing that I didn't HAVE to work, to be secure in house, food, clothes...
I'm going half way there. I've not got the funds to retire, but I'm resigning from my well-paid post next month, with a loose plan to live on less money but do something more fulfilling. One pencilled-in idea involves assisting with the expansion of a toy museum.

I would walk down to the store to get some food, it would be lunch time, and I'm a big eater after all. I'd notice the crowd outside fighting for a chance to get inside and grab some food. After a couple of hours of fighting to get in, I would look throughout the store as hard as possible and notice the empty shelves that haven't been restocked by the nonpaid employees. I would go over to my neighbors house, hoping to get a meal with them. They would deny my request because they only managed to grab enough food to feed themselves. After all the stores were gone, we would rely on a bartering system. Trade to get what ya want. THen someone would eventually say, "I'm tired of trading off all of my chickens, can't we just have something that symbolizes worth?" And thus currency would be reborn.

1. I'd be writing books and getting more published (I already have several published).
2. Form a business that creates and produces recycling equipment small towns can afford.
3. Form a business that's dedicated to producing a really usable ebook reader for schools.
4. Sponsor a space farm dedicated to the study of air and food production for space stations and undersea habitats.
5. Plant trees. Lots and lots of trees.

If I didn't have to worry about money I'd spend the rest of my life doing what I want and enjoying being alive and not having to worry about money.

I would be very happy! I would just travel around with my band and play shows every night. If I got tired of that, I would become a Veterinarian and provide all my services for free or very very reduced prices.

Do a job I'd enjoy doing (since money isn't an issue anymore), and travel everywhere.

I would have a heck of a good time until I die.
I would do all the things I like to do but cannot afford to do right now.
