my dad went to my school and got my report card and said that he was a little disapponted in me that i got 1 A, 5 B's and 1 C and said that he knows i can do better but i thought i did pretty good. do you think that he was over reacting?

Your parent may be a little strict; but your grades are very good ''B'' is a good grade, but the C is 50%-50%, you should see where you got the C. If your grade is a C in any academic class, try to improve it, because you're in the middle.
But congrats! Very good grades also maintain the GPA above 3.0, don't let it drop to a 2.9 or a 2.5!!

I think is over reacting just a little because usually parents want to have that all A's student and dont understand that you try your best. You a pretty good report card probably it was the C that threw him of. And your not failing one of your classes so he should lighten up a little.

i have 1 C on my report card.i was always really smart except for math and last night we were looking at my report card from 2nd grade and i hade a 3 in math out of 5 and now i have a C in math honors..by the way i dont know how i got in math honors.but my dad understands my C.

no he is not over reacting ,parents always want what is best for their child and telling u that u can do better is just a push for u to aim higher next time your father dont want u have b's and c's average he want u to be an A student. u did well , but u can do a lot better.

It sounds like he is overreacting. Your grades are good. Maybe it is just his way of pushing you to do better for yourself. Id get that C up to a B and try to get some Bs up to As and hell be happier.

Maybe he' right. Maybe you can do better, but he could've been overreacting a bit. Just aim a little higher and see what he say then.

No it is a parents responsibility to help push their kids to achieve their best. While your grades are ok-you can do better and you know it! (so does your dad!)

girl that is the thing with parents,he was overreacting to tell he was disappointed in you just for that,but you didn't do bad but i'm sure you could have gotten more A's try harder next time.
