I would like to think that he doesn't, but after seeing his show on people and their phobias, I feel a little differently about him now. If someone has a phobia, like myself, the last thing you do is force that person to confront their fear if they aren't ready for it.

Well, if you volunteer and seek it out, is it abuse? Maury doesn't call them, they call HIM ands beg to be on his show. I think he treats them like cattle. hurry on the stage shock everyone, now get up and move so we can start the process again. Its sleazy, but he isn't forcing anyone to do it.
If Maury is abusing them , I wonder what you think Jerry Springer is doing to his guests.

I think most of his guests could use a little abuse. It's not as though they are everyday folks who lead normal lives. I think they bring it on themselves by having to have 40 paternity tests done to find out "Who's My Baby's Daddy?"

No, they abuse themselves. Surely everyone has seen enough of his show to know if your girlfriend/boyfriend is taking you on that show it is not good news. yet they keep coming. sort of like those idiots on to catch a predator.

Of course he does and that is why I do not watch him but you can bet those 'abusees' are getting well paid to embarrass themselves on national TV. I personally think it is like boxing, all for show....
