Try a Planned Parenthood in your area. They have a nurse practitioner that can do paps and prescribe you bc. That's what i do, because my insurance doesnt cover annual exams. Its around $50 for the exam there. They also offer bc at a discounted price if you get it from their pharmacy. Use the link below to look for one in your area.
Also, are you in school at all? The student health center at my college gives paps for $20 if you are a student.
Look up free health clinics in your area also. They are especially for people like you with no health insurance, and will charge on a sliding scale according to your income.

RE :Where can i find affordable birth control?
i'm currently on my last perscribed month of the pill estrostep. my health insurance has been cancelled because i just can't afford it, we just bought a house and we're on a very tight budget. in order to get another perscription, i need to have a gyn appointment for an exam, but a visit is $200 without insurance, then another $50 a month for the perscription. any ideas?

Have you tried your county Health Department? I was able to get birth control pills for free when I went there. You might have to make below a certain income though, but I'm not exactly sure... try giving them a call :)

I always go to Planned Parenthood. Even though I am working, I tell them I don't have a job. Because usually, I am broke. They won't know that you are working because you can just say you haven't worked in a few months. They usually understand. But you need your birthcontrol, so is lying to medical people really worth it? If you think it isn't then go ahead and pay the fee.

Everyone is saying Planned Parenthood, which is a good place to go, however, it depends on your age. If you are over 18, they might charge you for the Pill, but it isn't as expensive what you are used to. If you are under 18, it is free.

um, I would talk to a doctor because they have different types, one may be better for you. I wouldn't go for affordable with this case! I would be responsible (sexually) or get some herbal vitamins for hormones (which ever is your reason) before I would just chose an affordable birth control!

Try Planned Parenthood... depending on your location, you might have to change brands, but it's usually $20-25/month, and you can generally get it with only a yearly consultation (i.e. no pelvic exam) which costs $25. They also do cheap pap smears.

Planned Parenthood charges fees on a sliding scale based on income. If you have no income (like I did when I was in college) then you get the medications, diaphragm, etc for free.
They are your best bet.
