I love it!
I love Rainn Wilson he is just too good in the role of Dwight.
I think Steve Carell is amazing. He is able to play the role without you hating the character. He just seems to always say things before he thinks, and his facial expressions are priceless after he realizes what he said.
I tried the British version and I didn't like it, I thought the boss was just a jerk and the other characters were not that great.
That's my Two Cents.

cult classic. the first 4 series were so funny, original and entertaining with such good-looking yet likable characters that it secured our attention as it limped through series 5 - 8. the last 2 series heralded a return to comedy gold, despite a decidedly sloppy and ill-thought out finale, which leave true fans eager for more. we learnt to accept the flawed story lines, we learnt to ignore the fact the actual writers of the show frequently forgot details or back stories and consequently spent time contradicting themselves because it was still unendingly funny, good-humoured and warm-hearted. We grew to love the characters, despite their various irritating traits, and actually WANTED these gorgeous people to end up happy. we wept (sort of) when things went wrong, we laughed every step of the way despite the often annoying laughter track and we vaguely wish we knew what had happened to each of them next (not including joey which i never watched and think destroyed the idea of the friends ending!!!) while it lasted Friends was also a merchandising gold mine but one of the things we loved the most about it was that even the actors appeared to enjoy themselves (despite matt perry occasionally being rather obviously going thru some "tough times" shall we say?) and we could really believe that they were truly friends in life as they were on film!!! i do like a good open question to get my rambling out!!!!!!!!!!

I think the UK original is better, but saying that the US version is really growing on me now. And at least american writers can churn out more than 6 episodes a season! Its also worth watching for Jenna Fischer...she's gorgeous!!

I haven't seen the British one, but I LOVE the one with Steve Carrell! My favorite character is Jim, I love the little looks he gives to the camera.
