I was always happy. But now I am so grumpy and I feel bad for my daughter and pets for acutally having to live with me. I don't like myself anymore. I am fat, grumpy, moody, unmotivated, exhuasted, and just can't get alot of things done, like I used to. I have no energy left, and certainly am not happy. Is this normal when pregnant?

well i would like to know how far along you are!cause i know this is how i feel late in my pregnancies.i feel like that alot now as it progresses.in the beginning it wasnt that bad but now im always tired and feel very unmotivated.i think its very normal at this stage in pregnancy but if it gets really bad i would suggest talking to your doc about it because depression during pregnancy can be serious.i wish you lots of luck and dont worry it gets better!

Yes. Your hormones are out of whack big time and this can cause you to feel all sorts of things. Women also tend to feel unproductive and unattractive when pregnant which can cause them to feel negative about themselves. I think feeling bad increase for the first 2 weeks after the new baby comes and you are having post partum issues. These feelings will go away. If you feel bad to your family try sitting them down and explainging that you dont mean to be crabby or unhappy you are just going through a lot of changes right now which can be hard to deal with. Remember your feelings dont make you weak they make you human. You will be ok I promise.

Don't think of it as lasting the WHOLE pregnancy. Take it one day at a time. Get extra rest and eat well. Go for walks. Take a bath. Pregnancy is exhausting especially the first trimester. After that things should be easier.

It's normal for dramatic changes in your emotional state because the hormone balance is totally different from your non-pregnant state. (My sis candidly calls it "progesterone poisoning".) Besides, being a little older (I assume, since you already have another child) doesn't make it any easier for your pregnancy.

However, it's always a good idea to consult you doctor so she can assess whether you're suffering from depression and what you can do about it. A counsellor might be able to help as well.

this sounds like depression. sweets what you dont want to do is be depressed. try getting some help. think of all the things that make you happy. you have a daughter, you should be proud. sit back and watch her grow! dont worry about the pet. i mean unless you are the only one there to take care of it. otherwise you shouldnt bother while pregnant. but be happy. whats your email i'll send you something nice :) or try to....some ppl say i have bad taste, but i can try :)

love jen.

It's just a wonderful side effect of pregnancy :) I'm almost as far along as you are and pretty much the same way. It all should subside after the baby is here :)

I'm 34 weeks and have been the same way...your hormones are going crazy right now...just try to take it easy...if you can't get your house clean or some other stuff done..then who cares...don't stress about it...I've found that with me, that's when I'm the crankiest...when I feel pressure to get something done...

yes, this is called mood swings.....They come and they go, its natural because you are bearing a child....Sometimes you are happy, sometimes you are sad......More often then none though, you are sad because you are about to become a parent and have to deal with all type of childish things that you once put your parents through.....my, how the tables have turned

It could be your emotions. When pregnant your horomes can go a crazy. I would talk to your doctor and tell him how you feel. He might be able to help you. hope you feel better soon.

It's very normal. Your hormones are out of whack. You should tell your doctor though.
