I have a BS in Business Administration and I know I need teaching credentials, but i have no idea on how to obtain my credentials.
I would love to teach a business, finance or computer class in high school and maybe even Spanish. What do I do?

Another alternative to avoid the bureaucracy is to teach in a setting other than a public high school. Private schools, community colleges, for profit schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. do not require teaching credentials and respect real world experience.

There are several options. One is to enter a post bac program in education where you would be given credit for some of your coursework and you could earn a teaching degree a bit quicker. You would still have to earn a substantial amount of ed. credits however.
The other option is to enter seek employment in a high need field, like special education, where many districts have programs in conjunction with a university where you CAN teach with an emergency or provisional license while taking your coursework to recieve certification in teaching. Some of these "accelerated" programs allow you to gain not only a license but also your Masters in a specific field.

Look for a college or university which offers Teacher certification for those with a college degree. You'll most likely take about 5 courses in education and then do a 12-14 week stint of student teaching. You will need to take at least one certifying exam perhaps another in your area of certification, depending on your state. Go for it, good luck and welcome to the profession!
