First off, yes, I do. Secondly (and in my opinion, more importantly), what is to be lost in believing in them? I base my beliefs off of the Judeo-Christian ethic. Those set of morals tell me how I am to live my life and conduct myself with Heaven as eternal reward and Hell as eternal punishment. Now, here's my argument: I live a very happy life. I have a good job, I give to charities, I'm getting married in the spring, etc. If I die today, I die very happy and fulfilled, then I get my eternal reward. If someone dies who denies such teachings (and no, I'm not going to get specific :)), what happens to them? There is NO penalty for living one's life along these moral lines, but there IS the possibility of enormous penalty for not living this way. So why risk it? That make sense?

I believe we can be in heaven or hell in our minds. They may or may not be actual places, but everything we do is stored somewhere in our memory banks and we can deem ourselves to be in a good place or a bad place by the decisions we make in our lives.

no, the word translated to "Hell" in the bible is the same word for pit or grave
I don't meet the requirements for heaven, but I do believe I will cross over into the Summerlands after I die

yes I believe in them both and I believe Jesus Christ is the only way into Heaven.
Neither by works/ nor deeds do you enter into eternal Paradise, only through Jesus Christ our Saviour do you get to enter into the Kingdom of God.

Belief is irrelevant. I have experienced both heaven & hell in this life so far - there is nothing for me to believe.
