Chimps are more closely related

Chimps and humans have 98.8 % identical DNA

language and culture and the knowledge these have given us have in som ways seperated us markedly from our cousins.

because Our basic drives, emotions, perceptual process and ways of learning , which are partly products of our genes, are the same
we are kin not just to chimps but in varying degrees to all of the mammals, and in lesser degress to other animals as well.

Premature infants cling with hands and toes, an ability that may be a vestigial carryover from an earlier evolutionary time, when the infants of our ancestors clung to fur.

The human smile and laugh are reflected in Chimps

So... here it is
there were old world monkeys which branched, one died off the others became.. lesser apes (gibbons)...
Gibbons branched off.. one died of and the others became great apes.....
Great Apes branched off... one is now orangutan

the other one branched into gorillas and something else....

from this something else we got humans and another thing

from this another thing.. we got bonobo and chimps.

I trying to translate a diagram into words,.... hmm not too bad aaside from the somethings and another things.. lol

Apes actually do have a primitive language, using both sounds and body language. This is the way our most primitive ancestors also communicated, from what we can tell from archeological and anthropoligical information. The neanderthal did not have as developed a voice box as the more modern human, and only certain sounds would occur. This and other obvious physical traits, including DNA, lead scientists to believe that apes and humans share a common ancestor.

People believe that because of the way Darwin's theory has been twisted and exploited. Darwin NEVER made the claim that man descended from the Apes, but rather man and ape had a common ancestor. This thinking was counter to the Judeo-Christian paradigm, and religious leaders have twisted Darwin's theory to mean something else in order to discredit him.

Rebuttal question:

Why are the misinformed/uneducated allowed to post ridiculous questions here?

I suggest that you read up on the Theory of Evolution, especially articles involving DNA links between humans and other primates.
