Apparently so. I didn't realize it though until I went to Toronto for a year and tried to work with a mix of people from all over the world who were trying to get by with very rudimentary English. Slang and colloquialisms were utterly meaningless to them. I mad one guy mad just telling him one day to "hang on" when we were talking on the phone. He though I was telling him to go hang himself. Speaking only one language, I wonder if other nationalities us slang in their languages.

No I try not to because I think it sounds stupid alot of pepole where Iam from the country use alot of country slang i cant stand it.

Yes, I do. I don't use slang intentionally, it's just what I'm used to hearing. I say, "Dude" a lot, lol.
