Ripa ripped Clay Aiken for placing his hand over her mouth, in his attempt to shut her up so he could have some talk time.
Ripa replied that he shouldn't do that, since she didn't know where Clay's hand had been.
Rosie said on The View that her remark about Clay's hand was homophobic.

Rosie was upset at Kelly for a statement Kelly made to Clay Aiken on Regis and Kelly last week.
Clay was being rude to Kelly and covered her mouth with his hand. Kelly said "That's a no no hun. I don't know where your hand has been!"

i would imagine rosie should not take it so personnel, she is the one with the problem. if clay is gay or not gay. you never know where any bodies hands have been. of course with the flu season upon us, nobody wants someone elses hands on their mouth. shes right , you do not know where hes hand has been.rosie takes it, as kelly is being rude because he may be gay. get over it rosie.

CLAY AIKEN SHUT KELLY UP BY PUTTING HIS HAND ACROSS HER MOUTH, IN AN INTERVIEW HE WAS DOING WITH HER. I GUESS KELLY GOT OFFENDED BY THIS AND STARTED TALKING SH*T. WELL ROSIE HAD TO PUT HER TWO CENTS IN AND ON HER TALK SHOW THE VIEW SHE BROUGHT UP THE ISSUE WITH KELLY AND CLAY AND SHE SAID THAT MAYBE KELLY WOULD HAVE NOT MADE SUCH A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT IF CLAY WASN'T GAY AND IF HE WAS CUTE. SO KELLY GOT OFFENDED BY HER COMMENT AND CALLED THE SHOW AND CONFRONTED HER.

about that kid (forgot his name) who filled in for regis, he covered her mouth while they were talking to a couple on the show Kelly was mad and Rosie said that it was because of his sexual orientation, which Kelly strongly disagreed she said it was because of being non-professional and it was rude. which i myself agree with kelly
