My timpani play a rhythmic song,
With hammer on anvil I play along.
Down my canal no ship sets course,
And I have a stirrup that fits no horse.

It is your ear!
The bones are hammer, anvil, and stirrup.
The timpani is your ear drum.
Canal = ear canal.

The timpani is refering to the eardrum
The hammer and anvilk are referring to, well, hammer and anvilinside your ear
The canal is your ear canal. I dont think I've ever had a ship go down one of them
And the stirrup is the stirrup inside your ear
