Do guys like when a girl likes football? Or do they think the girl is just saying that to impress them or receive attention? Just curious, because I don't want people thinking that about me...

Guys don't want a girl that is too much like a dude, or else they would date dudes. Just like girls don't want a guy to act like a chick. But a little common interests is good. If you are interested in football, that is cool, but I would suggest letting the guy have some guy time with his buddies and football.

In my experience guys do like it. They quickly figure out if you know what you are talking about. Its the difference between saying hey that wide out just cut his route short compared to look how pretty the color of the uniforms are.... Most guys are like wow you like football and get excited when they find out you are really into the game. You can still be girly and love football. I don't think it makes you less of a girl to like football.

Your best bet?? To not give two sh*ts what they think and just enjoy the game. I love football, play in two ff leagues (all men but me) and can't get enough. I played as a kid, got drummed out around 8th grade (when I couldnt beat the sh*t outa the guys and they wanted to start "dating") and have been a fan since the late 80's. You wanna impress 'em? Show up naked, with food.

Absolutely love it. Nothing but respect for a girl who knows about sports, especially football. I'll even be happy if a girl doesn't know much about it but is willing to learn. If you legitimately like football, more power to you... you'll always be a first round draft pick.

Depends on whether or not the guy likes football. If he does, then he will probably be happy to have a common interest with the girl. If not, then he probably doesnt care.
