Bob Marley fathered many children from women other than his wife Rita after their marriage. This leads me to question if he was the saint he is made out to be?

Yes it's true that Bob Marley wasn't the most faithful of all men and had a long list of vices. But so did Martin Luther King. I think what's important is that Bob Marley made people more aware of social injustice, peaceful rebellion, and that love that spreads through religious faith. He was not a Saint, but he spoke truth to power.

Who is making Bob Marley out to be a saint? People mostly love him because he makes great music, brought alot of attention to jamaica, therefore bring tourists and wealth to the country, and loves weed so...thats why everyone loves him...no one claims hes a siant tho.

No man is a saint. He was a very moral person you can hear in in the words to his music. Check out some of the so called moral people running our country.

But what is morality? What you think is right and wrong, what the church you attend tells you or what your parents have said? I think you cannot ask whether he is moral because morality is a subjective concept, and his idea of morality will probably differ largely from yours. By putting your ideas of right/wrong, ethical duties etc. onto him, you are projecting your own ideas onto someone who probably has very different ones. Please realize that your world view is not shared by everyone, and recognize that people will chose to follow their own moral code not yours. So in response to your question only you can define what morality is, and only you can answer this question according to your own set of beliefs. However, don't except everyone to agree with you because I'm sure they won't.

He wasn't a saint. Nobody is. However, overall he was a very good guy who was very spiritual and brang the right message through his music. That's about as much as you can hope to accomplish in this life.

its the weed speakin in his songs, i knw sum1 jsu lyk him, well he not jamaican but thats not the point, he smokes weed all the time and is just gr8 as a person so yer bob marley is gd, so wot if he has other kids
