ipod suggestion?

Ok, so, I'm planning on getting an IPod within the next month and I need some suggestions. I’m planning on getting the 30 GB black IPod. I don’t really like to purchase online so where would be the best place to go to get a good deal? When I buy it, what other accessories are a must-have that I need to get at the same time? How much should I plan to spend on the IPod and any other accessories that I need? Thanks!

enjoy... i have the same ipod you want...and i dig it. depending on the computer you have at home will depend on most of the things you need. I'm a mac guy and can rip dvds for my ipod myself from the dvds i own.

The price of iPods is going to be pretty much the same whereever you go.

I would recommend getting it at an Apple store or before buying it elsewhere, making sure that you can purchase the extended warranty. A friend of mine dropped a lock cutter on his iPod, left a big dent in the back. Apple replaced it.

Get a case to protect it, dropping it is inevitable somewhere along the line. I did not like the ear plugs so I got different ones, I also bought an FM transmitter for use in the car and a microphone, so that I can record my classes in school.

You can check prices for most major stores online, then drive out to the store and buy it there.

There are a million and one accessories out there, and determining which are good is entirely up to your taste. I would recommend a better set of headphones than the earbuds it comes with.

If your car has a tape deck or an aux input port, you should get a car charger and a tape adaptor (or a cable for the aux port).

probably wal-mart, they have the iPod, iPod nano, and the iPod shuffle but my mom said that they come in different colors like green, pink, blue, and stuff like that.
