Yes, I think that's what it is. Although here in Alberta it says Private Name Private number or unknown name unknown number. I heard, although I am not too sure that if you press # repeatedly it will erase you from their system. I personally hate the one where it says I may have won some cruise. I called it once and I got this automated message that said over and over back to back, please wait we are connecting your call. I waited for as long as I could stand it... which wasn't long and hung up. Now they call me as late as 10:00 at night. GGGrrrrrrrrrr! My sentiments exactly! Have a great day... unplug your phone. I'm thinking of doing it.

I only use me cell phone, no other phones. So if I don't know the # I don't answer it. And I don't give my phone# out for anything unless necessary. And if by some chance I answer a # I don't recognize and it IS a solicitor, I just tell them this is a prepaid cell phone not to ever all back.
Life has been good and simple, since I got rid of my home #

Yep I hate it....but I have to answer all calls that is my job. But yes it gets on my last nerve. And that happens here too with 800 #'s.....nobody is ever there. I get those like 6-7 times a day during my shift. It sucks.

Yes, it does drive me crazy. It's usually a bill collector or a telemarketer.

That is the reason I got rid of my land line and just use my cell phone.

I would, but I don't answer unidentified calls. If they can't put a name with the number, they can listen to my fax machine.

Yes and it gets on my nerves. What I just do is pick it up and hang it up. Try it.
