What or who are aliens?

My husband is fascinated with aliens and believes that aliens are an evolved form of human beings that are from the future... that come back to present day to do experiments on us in order to better adapt themselves. What/Who do you think aliens are?

Well, if they are out there, I don't think they are from the future. Man would be silly to think that there are no other life forms out in space. But, I don't think that those life forms are little green men.

I think that we are the only intelligent human race there is. I don't believe their are space ships abducting people. You ever notice, its only in Western Civilization that the UFO concept exists? You think that if China or other communist countries actually saw them they would not have blasted the snot out of them, especially during the cold war?

Go down to South America where they CITI people have been scanning the Sky's for years.... If they haven't found anything, then the conspiracy theory is just that.

Unless your a Sociologist. Their religion is based on Aliens. You will have to make your own decision on that one.

I embarked on a serious quest to find this out for myself when I was in college. After reading a lot of both pro and con books on the subject, I came to believe that aliens are just our 'modern' take on fairies, goblins, and other forest folk.

Before the industrial revolution, there was a widespread belief in these kinds of supernatural creatures, that they were literally 'real'. Sometimes they were malevolent, stealing children away, sometimes they could be benefactors. You can look up Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his involvement with two victorian girls who claimed to have fairies in their backyard - you probably remember the photos from television shows. Fairies were considered real back then- as real as any other animal about. If you look at imagery of faries from this time, you can see the thin bodies, the slanted large eyes, the big heads we associate with modern-day 'aliens'! - kind of a funny coincidence!

Sightings of aliens didn't start to appear til around the 1950's, when fictional stories began to appear in pulp magazines. Abductee's accounts of what these aliens looked like have changed over the years - reflecting what appears in the media at the time. Back in the 50's, people saw 'green men' and men in 'shiny tinfoil outfits'. Nowadays, an abductee with that kind of descriptions would be laughed out of town. As movie special effects have gotten more sophisticated, so have the reported 'appearance' of aliens. Close Encounters of the Third kind brought us the 'tall greys', and a lot of people still describe aliens that way.

Many abduction accounts often follow the pattern of a minor sleep disturbance that I myself have experienced. A feeling of being awake but having people in the room. A feeling of fear, of being paralyzed.

As you can see I find the subject fascinating. I haven't explained everything as well as the books do, so I hope you'll go on a quest yourself. I should also say, I don't necessarily think people are lying when they say they have been abducted, but I do think they are honestly deluded. The human mind is full of mysteries that we have yet to unravel, and I believe seeing and hearing things may be more a part of normal psychology than we know.

Aliens are beings from other planets, and sometimes other dimensions. Your husband is sort of right when he speaks of aliens coming from the future (seeing as all times coexist, time travel is indeed possible) but he is not right in asserting that they are evolved forms of humans. If anything, we are devolved forms of aliens. Our DNA is a sort of screwed up form of theirs. They seeded our planet with human life some centuries ago, and they come here to observe us, as well as to take DNA samples. After a society exists for so long, new genes need to be added to the pool to ensure the continuation of the species. Since we are so genetically similar, they use ours. There are a lot of books available on this.

well as much as aliens are in our minds they are not real. if they are then we do not believe in god. this reason being is god punished us ( put us on earth ) and if aliens exist then does that mean that god punished them for what we did? Or does that mean that millinons of other life forms all did the same thing as us and were punishe? There for i dont be live in them but i do think it is a good thing to think about. p.s. Alien means not from here so we could be aliens if we visited another country or state ect.

Ok, Aliens are not whatever your husband says they are. That is illogical on so many levels. Secondly, Aliens do exist, I'm sure, somewhere in the Universe. But don't worry, they aren't here. They have never been here.

Aliens. Well let me fill you in with what you need to know. First, your husband is partly correct. They are from the future, but WHO they evolved from is the real gem. In the year 2195, a group of scientists will procure the sperm from Dustin Diamond, Television's "Screech", and inject it into an ovum taken from Calista Flockhart, Television's "Ally McBeal", allow it to gestate in a box, then the result will be this strange and wonderful being that we know today. Now you know why "aliens" are never seen eating (CF), and why they are generally annoying creatures(DD).

I think you're husband may be a little nuts, but if that's what he believes, so be it. There is absolutely no scientific evidence to support the existence of extra-terrestrial intelligent life other than that high probability of it given the size of the universe.

Little Gray(not green) men who fly in tringular(not circular) ships. Just watch alot of X-files to get his general opion(SciFi and TNT play them alot).

I personally think UFO's and aliens are an elaborate conspiracy from the government to protect secret projects or experimental aircraft. The whole round idea came from craft the germans were testing.
