The best car seat for a baby is the one that is safest. Check on the Ministry of Transport website to see if they have a list of some that they recommend. I would go for one of the lower priced ones on this list as baby will be out of the infant sized seat in no time. Go for one that is easy to click in and out of the base or else you'll end up with a sore back. We had Evenflo seats for out children. Nothing fancy but safe. When my second child came along we purchased one of those frame type strollers that the infant seat attaches onto. It was so much easier with this system than having to remove baby from its car seat (often sleeping) and put it into a regular stroller.

I had the Graco travel system. My son gre out of the infant seat quickly. I then got the Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 so I won't have to buy another seat. Yu can have it backwards till they are one...then turn it around. Then when they are older you can have it as a booster seat.

Graco has a good selection, and good prices. Depends on your budget as the systems are so expensive.

I like the Eddie Baure car seats, they are a little bigger so they last longer for infants.
