But my sister has always noticed that her son likes to play emotional mind games and bawling is a sense in getting people in trouble, including her with husband, and getting his way in stores, and mostly everyday life. This child has never before brought this game to the table at school it was always kept at home use. Her husband's mother lives with them and she has this same attitude if she doesn't get her way a story of great levels is told and spread through the grapevine to get her way one way or the other. How can I help my sister take control of her life and help her son not end up like grandma dearest and have the husband back her?

Your sister and her husband just have to decide not to take the bait. Then they have to be consistent about it every time. Say something mild like, "Oh, Kevin won't let you play with the truck? I guess you're going to have to wait till its your turn." Then walk away and don't make anymore fuss over it. If they both do this consistently he will get the idea very quickly that his histrionics will get him nowhere.

Any behaviour can be dampened by discouraging.

Why dont you uncover the grandma's real picture in a gathering by saying whatever you said right now right into her face in front of everybody and get outta there. This will shock her into realizing what she had been doing and how its affecting the rest of the lives.

Stop enabling this child. He has learned to get his way by example because it works for him and for grandma too.
