I used a name brand pregnancy test once and it came up negative. I then went to the dollar general store and bought a pregnancy test with their brand for $1 the same day and it came up positive. I dont suggest using the name brand pregnancy tests because an off brand is just as accurate if not more. I feel like most women find out their pregnant after the first month anyways. So I suggest waiting a little while longer....but dont go with the name brands. I hope that helps and good luck!

I think all pregnancy tests are the same..To find out if I was pregnant I wouldn't pay an extra $10 for a name brand one so I just bought the store brand..They work the same and the only difference is how soon it can detect the pregnancy horomone! Since your wife is already a week late though I would suggest just a cheapy..

Since your wife is already late, she should be able to use any test, I recommend EPT. I recommend purchasing a two pack. If the first test comes back positive, then she is most likely pregnant; if it is negative and she is still late, it would be good to try the test again in a week or two. You didn't say if you are trying to get pregnant; if so, you may want to have more than one handy. It also helps to use the test in the morning when she first wakes up. Best wishes!

Hi there!! Due to the fact that your wife is just a week lake the best type of home pregnancy test to purchase would be one of the ones that can detect a pregnancy earlier. Some of the non-name brand products can only detect pregnancy after so many days..... Check the label to be sure. GOOD LUCK!!!

all brand do the same thing, check to see if there are pregnancy hormones in your urine, thats all, it's up to you which one you can afford or how you prefer to know, seeing the words, a plus, a negative, two lines, one line, etc....If you are pregnant the results will show up right away, meaning your body has alot of pregnancy hormones. If it takes a while you may be testing a little early....all depends on your body and timing, Good Luck

Seriously, if she's 7 days late, a dollar store test or store brand generic will work. The only real reason to spend more money on the EPT or Clearblue easy ones is if you're trying to find out before the period is due. Good luck (whatever the outcome)!

Since your wife has missed her period - any pregnancy test will work for her now. She will have enough of the pregnancy hormone in her urine to receive an accurate result. Good luck!

I can't remember the name of this test, I think it's made by EPT. It's a digital test it either says pregnant or not pregnant. This way you don't have to worry about the lines showing up. Still, seven days late is normal if she is stressed out. I have gone a whole month without a period. You should still take the test, but try not to get your hopes up if you are trying to get pregnant.

I've always liked EPT. They are pretty accurate. Remember, she can have a false negative, but never a false positive. If it says positive, then she is definately pregnant. But with a negative result, there is still the chance she could be pregnant. But being seven days late, she should get a pretty accurate result.

Confirm Clearly digital or the walmart brand regular test.

Confirm Clearly detected my pregnancy at only 2 1/2 weeks when all of the others said no

Good Luck
