Do I have that about right? So, who the hell are they and why are half of you still supporting them?

Who is "cut-and-run"ning now?

You silly thing. We support the IDEALS of the conservative movement. Less government involvement, free trade, family values and less taxes followed by a strong national defense. Just because we got a bad lot that lots of us agree probably got what they deserved doesn't mean our ideals of the conservative movement has changed.

Part of making your party stronger is finding the problem and correcting it. Is that cut-and-running? or is evolution? (thru you off there didn't I).

So, at the end of the day why wouldn't I support those who have the same ideals and values as me? Pelosi doesn't represent my ideals anymore than Delay does one stands for many things I completely disagree with and one is a complete fraud who I cannot support because my values dictate that I cannot.

This wasn't an election to PROVE that conservative movement is dead. It was an election about getting rid of those who didn't do their jobs either by a large number of democrats voting and a large number of republicans not voting or switching their votes in defiance.

Pelosi fixes the world still won't change what our values and ideals are that's just silly. You one an election not the case against conservatism.

why do the "people running our govt." have to have a label? Everybody, you, me, each politician have different beliefs on different things. Bush did think ( I have heard he may have changed his mind) amnesty was a great Idea. This is a direct contradiction to the Conservative base. Giuliani has an R next to his name but is pro everything not of the conservative base. Bushs administration has strayed from the true conservative base but so has the republican party so if you want to try to put a name to them go ahead but that is just not feasible.

in the dem and rep side there are people who still believe that a R or D means their leaders believe everything they do but that is just a lazy way to look at politics. If anyone is truly informed and for the betterment of the country they look at stances not LETTERS. And if you truly think you are getting a true representation of either side on this site you are extremely nieve. The percent on here that really understand what they are saying or trying to say I would bet is minimal at best.

Corporations and geopolitical interests own the politicians in Washington. Can you get better things to happen out of Democrat/Republicans? I think not. The major corporations run this country.

The politicians don't give a **** about the American people. I don't blame them because who wouldn't take advantage of the fact that most Americans don't care.

If you are referring to the Republican party, Republicans are Conservatives. Some are fiscally Conservative some are Socially Conservative and some are both.
As for cut and run:
I hope Congress doesn't try to put Murtha's plan into motion but only time will tell. Your party is only the Congress elect, they aren't in office yet.

I have a term for them and their supporters, Bushians. A Bushian is a Bush Christian.

A Bushian believes in the false idol, money, while feeling morally superior to all others. They are fascists that believe they have the moral authority to dictate to the rest of us and the rest of the world how we all should conduct our lives.

they are politicans. Party lines only matter to the voting public. Once the office gets filled. It becomes: What can I get? What can I say? to get and hold my cush job.
