Half-full = optimistic
Half-empty = pessemistic

I'm optimistic that you will obtain the results you are looking for...

I agree that there is no real way to do this. My reasoning for this is that a pessemistic person can influence an optimistic person to turn pessemistic quicker than one can thing. The way a person carries themselves and presents themselves is also a way that one person is judged. I think a pessemistic person can give a false front as the same as the optimistic person. The levels of the days stress also can leading to misjudged first impressions.

An Optimist will always think in terms of "can do" he believes that every problem comes with a solution attached and we need to explore that to fix the problem. While the pessemist thinks in terms of "impossible" and "buts".

A balanced person is realistic and understands the possible and the impossible based on his capabilities which usually are in its optimum.

We can't.

Wait a minute...

Maybe we can.

Nah.

Actually, I think the glass is shattered, and the contents are all over the floor. But there is a lot to be said for a pessimistic outlook. Every organization needs someone who can see what could go wrong...

because...

you guessed it...

it will.

Did I ever answer the question? A "negative" person complains all the time about nothing, and blames everyone but the man in the mirror.

A "positive" person looks at life realistically, and sometimes pessimistically, and takes responsibility for the good and the bad.

The pessimist says that the glass of water is 1/2 empty. The optimistic says it is 1/2 full.
