I have heard of people getting contacts just to change eye color. You do still have to get an exam and they have to measure your pupil so its a more expensive exam that a normal check up. Try Site for Sore Eyes or Pearl Vision.. talk to the people there.

Go to an eye doctor. They will be able to get you safe colored contacts. Some of the ones that you can buy at costume stores, online, and scarily enough I've seen them on street vendors have harmful chemicals that can seriously damage your eyes. You need to remember, even when getting them from a reputable source, that colored contacts are not for long term use (you can't wear them as long as you can regular contacts which is about 10-12 hours) as the coloring still poses danger to the eye.

yes, but there is actually a SIZE to them. you need to get your eye measured, and there is a number, I am pretty sure, called diopter, or something, on the contacts package.

i have contacts and the package not only has my prescription strength, it has other things also.

the color contacts-- i've had those too, green eyes are fun. however my particular contacts didn't fit so well. i think my eye doctor did it on purpose because she tried to discourage me from getting color contacts and I really had to insist!! she was a fat ugly b***. she practically refused to prescribe them for me, she was really boring and stupid and she was like, there is no reason to get color contacts, you shouldn't change the color of your eyes. she had some moral thing against it.

anyway sorry to go on and on the short answer is yes, you can do it, and find an eye doctor who won't make you feel bad about it either.

The answer to your question is yes, you can get contacts even though you don't need them to correct your eyesight. The contacts will NOT hurt your vision. In fact, this is a very common thing that I see in my practice. You do need to see a licensed eyecare professional (an optometrist) in order for them to do a proper contact lens fitting. The important thing to remember about contacts is that they sit on living tissue and can have a great impact on the health of your eye if not cared for properly. It is important that someone fits a healthy lens to your eye and teaches you how to care for it properly. Give it a try, you'll love them!

Sure. You can get contacts, if you want to pay for something that you don't really need. They have just clear contacts that you can get with no vision help in them. But why not just be happy with the color eyes you have instead of paying like $75 a box for something that, like I said, you don't need.

It won't hurt the fact that you have perfect vision. But, you should go to your optometrist to make sure that the contacts fit your eyes. Too many people purchase ill-fitting contacts for beauty purposes and suffer because of it. Be safe...

Yes, definately.
They have had contacts out, that do nothing for vision but just change the color of your eye, for example.
They are safe, and it won't matter what your vision is.
I had a friend in HS that had dozens of weird colored contacts, white, red, designs, crazy stuff. I asked him about it once and he said he didn't even have a seeing problem.

naw.you shouldnt. but just to be safe go see an optomitrist. i did that in high school i thought i had 20/20 vision but then he noticed a slight case of astigmatism in my right eye. as the years have passed its gotten a bit worse. but still see an optomotrist b4 and he'll tell you if u can get them or not. otherwise you should be fine. i used mine for like 2 yrs and i had no problems. just that ur eyes do get a bit dry and if something gets in your eye its very irritating.. just be sure to put them away at night, keep them moist and keep them clean. be sure to clean them b4 you put them in. and keep some visine for contacts around. it works very well!

Nope -- there are contacts that have NO correction in them (Cosmetic Contacts) that can be purchased from any optometrist -- and they do sell various funky ones for halloween and other costumed events times too. So go ahead and ask at any optometry shop.
