Because living with someone can knock the hell out of love. The other person is at a distance, we don't really see all their faults or have to deal with a lot of annoying habits that living with someone may bring about. Most of us think there is someone out there we should have married only because we never did marry them.

I feel your pain, why does it almost always turn out this way? I have no good answer for you but I personally try to live my life with no regrets and try to make the most out of what I do have. This doesn't mean that I ended up with the person I truly love but for some reason I think this does happen more often than not. I guess it's the old saying "You don't know what you have until it's gone"

I used to totally believe in that. Now I believe that we make our own future. We can be hooked on the passionate addictive feelings that love brings, which is fleeting eventually if the two people aren't compatible. I used to believe that there would be just one love for me and that love would conquer all. It doesn't, but it doesn't hurt to try. I have been hurt by love. And I have been blessed by love. A relationship can be a foundation built or an instant spark of chemistry that happens for no reason at all. (that is explainable that is) Don't give up. But, also don't just sit around and wait for it to happen, you need to be in motion to make things happen.
I once heard a story about how when men and women were created they were one body, one soul, and one mind, well after a while GOD decide to split them in 2, now we spend our lives looking for the other halves of our souls so we can feel complete.
I think there is some one out there for everyone. You might find them when you are 3 playing in your sand box or you might meet them when you are 60, whenever, I do think you will eventually find them. Just a thought.

Well, you usually do, unless you are the one that walked away. I did 3 years ago. But I found someone. It is different of course because it is not the same person, but I love him if not not more now. There is someone for everyone. Try to love someone who is different then that one and go with it. Don't try so hard and let it flow.

I am struggling with this one myself. I am in love with someone that I can not be with and it is killing me. I think true love is difficult to find and I just don't understand these people that fall into it everyday. All I can say is if they are truly the ones we are meant to be with then it will happen, if not this lifetime, maybe next. But in the meantime you have to live you life. Get out there laugh flirt and you may just find the true love you have been searching for.

Because we choose the first person we meet. Than we later find out it was not the thing to do. We are not selective these days when it comes to love. Than we meet someone later that we should've waited for, chances they are in the same predicament (in a relationship or married).

Sometimes life just does not turn out the way we want it to. Or perhaps though you think this is the person you love, there is someone else out there for you that you are meant to be with...god bless.

unfortunatly, I believe it is extreamly rare for both people to really love each other.
one person will always love the other one more and the other will be happy but settling for less.
it is a rule of attraction in my book, one must be disinterested to keep it interesting.

Read the book "Love in the time of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It won't answer your question, but it really makes you think...
