I dread the holiday season sometimes because of certain relatives. They are nice enough to invite everyone to their house for dinner however, they keep offering you food after you said "no thank you" or you telll them you don't like or eat a certain food. I went to my aunt's house one year after I had eaten dinner at another house. I was stuffed. My aunt kept putting desserts in front of me after I said I had already eaten. I told her I would take them home and eat them at another time. She kept asking me was I sick and why wasn't I eating. Hello? I just told you I ate before I came. Why won't people listen?

It was probably just her way to be polite and show you she cares about you. Plus she's probably a bit too self-involved and maybe sure that her deserts are the best in the world and you must be a fool for not eating them. Next time tell her the desert looks delicious and you trully regret having eaten so much before you came over but could she wrap some of that for you to take home?

She want to pleased you, older people do that with everybody that they love, you are so lucky having family that invite you to share holidays, family is the first thing in life...and we need to learn how to be a Little more tolerant.

Some people when they take their time making a food want to know if you think it's good, and want to know then, not later.
