Believe it or not....Nature.

If things get tough just take a step back and look at all that is around you. Breathe in the beauty of everyday life that surrounds you, the flowers, a blade of grass, a large oak tree, a lake, a stream, the ocean, the mountains, a leaf, the clouds, the sun, the moon, the stars, a pine cone, a rainbow, and so many other things too numerous to mention. You ARE a part of the large picture. Keep in mind "don't sweat the small stuff" and ultimately in large scheme of things "EVERYTHING is small stuff".

This will put all into perspective.

Same person you rely on when life isn't tough - you. Circumstances do not affect your inborn instinct to survive, fortunately most people aren't in a position that puts it to the test.

I find that support usually comes from unexpected sources - it'll often be a casual acquaintance or even a total stranger who helps you when you're struggling. Keep family and friends in the loop but don't put too much pressure on them. They'll help if they can.

The King of the Heart is always with you, go quiet to listen for guidance. Most suffering is actually caused, at least in part, by illusion. eg. the illusion that we're mortal. When life is tough, J.C. and his angels are with you and help if asked.

You should always look to yourself first. After that, it depends on you. What kind of relationship do you have with family? What kind of friendships have you cultivated during your life? Remember, true friends are family which you have chosen.

This is what is meant by karma. If you have lead a life of caring and friendship with others, it will come back at you in times of need. If you have been a jerk, you won't have anyone to help you in times of need.

If you are spiritual then God... You also have your family, loved ones and friends.. But if they aren't there for any reason, in the end, the only one you can rely on is yourself..

My husband is my rock in life. When he is not around, I rely on myself.

family, friends and ultimately, myself.

If I am ever in the position of having to rely on imaginary people - jesus, allah, zeus, ganesh, odin or whatever - I hope that my strait jacket will be a comfortable one
