No, I only realised how invincible I was at 16 when ten years later I looked back I saw how many possibilities were open to me and how little I took advantage of them.
At 16 I bounced, at 26 I fell but got up again and at my 36th in February I'll wobble, but still wouldn't want to go back.
At 21 I realised when my wife decided we had no future that being an idiot all my life wasn't maybe the best approach, however invincable I felt down the pub of a friday evening.

To be honest no.... I didn't even think about it. Admittedly my world was small, cared about friends, hated enemies and loved my family.
Didn't go up in the air until I was 26 and took part in an assualt course where I reckoned I could do anything I set my mind to - completly knackered my knee for life by crashing into the edge of a pool on a swing rope!!

I always tried to advise my sister not to be stupid.
Then at 17 she's brought home by police, who'd stopped her driving at 100 miles an hour in a friends car, in thick fog on the motorway.
The resulting court proceedings and severe telling off she received by police made her realise she wasn't invincible.

Yes You lose confidence as you get older. I think its part of growing up. I think you realise that the real world is not a nice place as you thought it was. Brought up in a loving and caring family I have realised in last 10 years that not everyone is as nice as them.
A turning point for me was a rotten exam at University at 20 - I had done all my work - even though I passed it - it really shook my confidence - cause the people who wrote it did not know what they were doing, they were inexperienced themselves as examinners. You realise that not everything is not under control or fair.

Personally, I didn't have my invincibility phase 'til much later, and I think I'm going thru a mild one now.
I realise that, at 26, I'm not totally invincible, but I think I'm old enough to know how far I can push myself and I'm quite happy to tell everyone else how brilliant and important I am. So there.

At sixteen i must have been in at least 15 street fights. Some won, some lost. Believe me when you get f*cked up you know you are not invincible. Im not joking.
