If you're running windows, and DHCP, open up the command prompt and do 'ipconfig /renew'
If you're running windows, and static IPs, go to Network Connections (via the control panel) and right click on the relevant connection. Select 'TCP/IP' in the box list, then click properties. Enter a different IP, that's not already in use on your LAN. If you don't know what is and what isn't taken, try a few.

If you're running Linux and DHCP, open up a shell and say /etc/init.d/networking restart . You'll need root priviliges, so use SU or sudo.
If you're running Linux and static IPs, open up /etc/networking/interfaces with your favourite text editor (and root priviliges) and change the IP address to something that's not being used.

It's not a worm. The vast majority of computer problems have nothing at all to do with virii.

If you are running on a network with multiple computers, you may also be seeing an ip address conflict due to more than one computer having the same IP address. If that's the case, talk to your system admin, or check your router settings to see if you are using DHCP or static IP's.
