I want to download music from the internet to my MP3 player but am quite new to all of this- which is the cheapest way to do this without downloading software from illegal sites that can infect your computer with viruses??

i use limewire, its free, but you might want to have some kind of antivirus...anything with worm protection will work.

MTV downloads offers the cheapest - 69p a download.

For £10 you get 15
For £20 you get 31

def best deal...I do think itunes are so expensive - why don't they offer deals like this?

Go through iTunes - 79p per track, normally around £8 for a whole album.
