On a coordinate grid where do you start on the left or right....how do you find a specific point?HELP!

first you need to know where the origin will be....
once you know that, then the horizontal direction is the first coordinate, and to the right of the origin you have positive numbers,
the vertical direction is the second coordinate, and above the origin you have positive numbers. '

The convention is that positive values of x is on the right side of the origin (0,0), and negative values are on the left. Like this: x = (-2, -1, 0, 1, 2), etc.
