peanuts are highly allergenic, I wouldn't say it is safe, because they say not to give it to a baby until he is 4. So, I wouldn't do it. Or just have small amounts with milk

YES IT DOES! I breastfed for 8 months on demand. During that time I had 2 Snickers Bars as I'd been told such a small amount would have no effect whatsoever. From 5 weeks old my son had terrible eczema and at 5 months was blood tested for allergies because it was so bad. Guess what, it's PEANUTS!
AND I NEVER eat eggs either, except in mayonnaise or pasta etc. And guess what, he's also allergic to EGGS!
It's a well known fact breastfeeding is the best start for the baby to build up immunity etc but if anyone tells you, like they told me, that you've have to eat tons of this or that for it to have an adverse effect on the baby, then they're talking rubbish!
My son has since gone on to develop hay fever and asthma although he's now 4.5 and we have everything nicely under control. Shopping/cooking foods with no trace of nuts or eggs is a bit of a nightmare, and having to give him inhalers every day and see him in hospital isn't great either. AND he HAD the best start - 8 months of pure breastfeeding.
So it's never a guarantee that absolutely nothing will be wrong.
Just DONT increase the chance that something will by eating/drinking stuff your medical advisor has told you is risky.
And don't even get me started on smoking during pregnancy.......
Regards.... Celine

You should avoid peanuts if you or anyone in yours or your partner's family has an allergy to peanuts. Same thing goes for anything else that can cause allergic reactions. If there's a tendency towards allergies it's best to do what you can to avoid triggers.
Otherwise it's fine. Peanut butter and milk together make a complete protein which is a good thing to have when you're breastfeeding.
And, as a plus, breastfed babies are less likely to suffer allergies as they get some immunity from mum.

it is possible for small amounts of the peanuts to be transferred to the baby during breastfeeding. Most anything you eat may affect the baby negatively.

Yes, babies under a year should not have any nuts because it can cause allergies. What you eat while breastfeeding is passed on to your baby. You can have some, just limit the amount you eat.

Sometimes newborn may suffer nuts allergy, and yes it does affect the baby in the womb. Pls do not take chances if pregnant. Try even to check for things you eat and may contain nuts, such as ice cream or cakes...But Do not become paranoid about it!!

yes they say it does thats why you are not allowed peanuts while pregnant cause everything you eat especially when feeding passes through to the baby and could cause your baby to have an allergic reaction to peanuts or cause the baby to have hayfever and eczema ! sorry if you are still craving nuts its so annoying have alook in your pregnancy and birth to five years nhs books they are really handy x

they say if you have a history of allergiess you should try to avoid them in order to prevent an allergie in your baby. But if you or your partner don't have any history of nut allergies the baby should be fine. I found out really early (2 weeks after my baby was born) that she had a cows milk allergie and i found out that i did also when i was a baby. Check with your family to make sure there is no history of it.

No it should not
Peanuts are high in protein and omega 3 oil
this can only enrich the baby's milk
NOTE;
go easy on the amount ;
if they are --- roasted salted peanuts,--
They will carry a high amount of salt ,
this is bad for both Mum and baby...............
