I think this constitutes abuse. The question wasn't stupid but the "existing" part... don't you think Canadians read these things or don't you care?
Canada DOES have Thanksgiving, it's a floating holiday, usually early-to-mid October.

I think they may regularly celebrate their drinking age and legalizations of many other things you can't do in the US... or maybe that's the kids that live near the border that cross over to do the celebrating... something like that.
