It depends on where you live. There is a website called freecycle (type it into google) and they give that stuff away for free! Also there must be organizations that will help you out here. If you cant afford diapers mabye you can go to cloth. No child should have to go without and if you lived in calgary id probably hook you up...but im sure you dont. I would personally buy your baby clothes to help you out if necessary, there are alot of second hand stores and everything but you should really look into welfair, and what you are going to do in the future.

They have birthright in canada too, so it must be north american wide...if you look in the phone book under pregnancy then there should be tons of places that can help you out.

You need to locate your Childrens & Family Services office, or a Department of Human Services right away! They have a Family's First Program if you are a single Mother that will cover expenses for the month for items like clothing, diapers, wipes until you can start getting child support. Then they can also put you on emergancy food stamps, if you are not already on WIC (Women, Infant, Children) you need to apply for that at the local Health Department or in the same office to get the formula (if your not breast feeding), extra milk eggs, cheese, cereal, beans & other protiens you & they baby need. Also check your local churches, GoodWill stores & the missionaries. There is help out there, believe me!!!!

Churches are a big help. They can put you in touch with other families that are giving away hand me downs. You can also try Wic for the formula. They also help you get cheaper car seats! I don't think they can help with the diapers though. Try garage sales too. You can get baby clothes for pennies if you go to the right ones. Also go to your local Family Independance Agency. They can get you on several programs for health care, food stamps (bridge card), emergency funds, and others. I was in the same situation when my daughter was born. I barely had enough money for myself, let alone for her. If you do have to buy the items (diapers and store brand formula) you need try buying in bulk at a Sam's club or other place like that.

I have some small clothes and diapers my daughter can't fit in anymore. email me at arfiegel@yahoo.com I'll send them to you.

I live in a town where they don't have a lot of what others are talking about. Most all towns have a health Dept though, I have my daughter on wic and they have offered the hands program. They help you get things for your child and they told me that they give out 10 gift cards after there visits. Also they give out car seats and stuff like that. So check into the health Dept I bet they would be better if there is nothing in your area like me.

Depending on where you live there are probably several different places. I know that in my area there is a clothing bank, it is kinda like a Goodwill, only everything is FREE!!! People can clean out their closets or after garage sales they donate their unwanted items and people can come and get them at no cost. My suggestion would be to call your local Chamber of Commerce and see if there is anything like this in your area. Hope this helps and my best wishes to you and the little guy!!!

Check local churches for services like this. Lutheran churches are big on community programs. Also maybe check Goodwill, not sure how it works but I know our local one gives out jackets to the homeless. They maybe able to help.

Finally you local WIC program maybe able to help cover the diapers possibly or at least get you food stamps to where you can purchase diapers.

Please contact your local church(es), Public Assistance programs, or the Salvation Army. Do you a Pregnancy Center in your town? These are some contacts that will be able to steer you in the direction of the resources you need. Look in your phone book for County Programs. I don't know where you are from so each area calls programs by different names.
I am praying for you and your child and that you receive the help you need!!! God Bless!!!!

Try your local church. The state will also give you vouchers for clothes at the salvation army.
I also would check freecycle. See if someone has cloth diapers they will give you. They you wont have to worry about buying diapers.

Do you belong to a church? If so, check with them. If not, find a church and talk to them. Perhaps they can help. If not, they may be able to point you in the right direction.
Also, try the Salvation Army and Good Will. Or Catholic Charities.
Good luck and best wishes.
