I've been on depo for 2 years. Normally I get the shot the first day I'm supposed to but this month I had till the 8th to get it and I got it on the 7th. last month I was on antibiotics, dont remember if my bf and I had sex or not. well a week after getting this shot I started feeling sick, havent thrown up though. My breast are getting bigger, swollen and very sore and tender. You can feel the glands inside swollen as well. i actually saw a lil bit of liquid coming out of one, just a drop, but still. I took a pregnancy test and it came back neg. Could I still be pregnant though? does the depo effect the result of the test?

for those who answered so far...this is my first time asking...I've been on depo for two years and never had symptoms like this before....i already have a two year old, could the liquid coming out of my nipple be from the last pregnancy? I didnt breast feed then because she never latched on. Its not pouring out, I just noticed barely a drop the other day after scratching them and rubbing them all day becaused they were sore and itchy

Here is some basic info from the Planed Parenthood Website.
Basically, if you rely only on depo and you are not sure of your timing, go get an other test from your doctor to put your mind at ease and be sure.

The Basics
"The shot" is an inject-able progestin-only prescription method of reversible birth control. It contains a hormone that is similar to the progesterone made by a woman's ovaries to regulate the menstrual cycle. The shot is also known as DMPA. The D stands for "depot," the solution in which the hormone is suspended. The hormone is medroxyprogesterone acetate. The common brand name for the DMPA shot is Depo-Provera.
A shot of DMPA can prevent pregnancy for 12 weeks. It
usually, prevents the ovaries from releasing an egg (ovulation)
less often, thickens cervical mucus to prevent sperm from joining an egg alters the lining of the uterus, which, in theory, may prevent implantation of a fertilized egg Effectiveness.
The shot is one of the most effective reversible methods of birth control. Of every 1,000 women who use it correctly and consistently, only three will become pregnant during the first year of use. Three in 100 women will become pregnant with typical use.
Protection is immediate if you take the shot during the first seven days of your period. Otherwise, use a backup method of contraception for the first week. Protection lasts for 12 weeks.

see your gyne

YES, you could be pregnant, as the only birth control method that is 100% effective is not having sex at all.
Antibiotics also can reduce the effectiveness of hormonal birth control methods.

HOWEVER, I suspect something else may be happening. You don't start lactating at the onset of pregnancy. That comes much later. PLEASE see your gyne, as leaking from your nipples can be the symptom of an illness. especially if your breasts have grown quickly, you could have other issues that only your doctor can diagnose.

yeah its possible, but go to the doc and let them give you a test.

*Depo can affect the results of your test. I had the same thing happen to me, but it was a false positive result.
