Good point
Its a transitional period for Arsenal and it is difficult for several reasons
1) New stadium - It will take time to build the psychological 'Home' feel for players and fans
2) Wenger is nurturing his 3rd Phase (his thrid rebuilding of a squad) and the players are you.
The problem may also be that the team lacks solid British players and despite the beauty of their football some rigidity is needed (ie Bolton)
In the end Arsenal have a brilliant young squad that is going to imporve more than Man Utd and Chelsea. So the futures bright.

I think part of the problem has been the move away from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium. It takes time to get used to a new home and maybe the wide open spaces of the new stadium is making that process difficult.
It should also be remembered that Arsenal have had some horrific injury problems at the back with several first picks out like Senderos and Kolo Touré, and I don't think Thierry Henry has been in the best form yet. Cesc Fabregas has been another slow starter. Other important players like Robert Pires and Ashley Cole have left and that can also have an unsettling effect.
But as you say, Arsene Wenger is a world class manager and he will turn things around eventually I'm sure.

What do you mean WAS? Wenger IS one of the best managers in the world. Arsenal spend money wisely and invest in young talented players, They dont just buy for the sake of the transfer window. I feel Arsenal will win the league next season if not this season, but I agree Henry doesnt have the inspirational powers that Vieira had.

Arsene Wenger is nuturing a bunch of young talents including an inexperienced captain in Thierry Henry ,who happens to be a fine player arguably going through his prime days of fantastic football. Patrick Viera walked away with the team spirit but be patient, with the way the Gunners destroyed Hamburg , happy days shall definitely be with Arsenal again.

On last nights performance, I think they played very well, and when Theo came on, your team had a great presence about them, they played really really well for the last 20-25 mins. I know the feeling of disappointment, Im a Southampton fan.......and after relegation and the struggle to get back to the premiership, and then we go sell our best player to you lot.........oh gosh, wheres the razor blades.......Joking. Your team got a good result last night, and your 4th, its still early in the season, lots can happen over the Christmas season, Injuries, transfers, etc, your team will be just fine.

I remember when they lost in the last premiership
this boy in my school refused to even talk of the premiership because he's a mahoosive arsenal fan and he was really pissed off.

arsenals problems can be summed up quite easily...
you miss viera, & you miss bergkamp
Henry scores great goals... but he isn't the poacher that bergkamp was.
You also have failed to find a real captain to lead the team after viera's departure...
so thats it... i do hear your point though... i'd rather use the word imbalanced though... the arsenal performances are just not quite as sparkling as they once were
UEFA cup for you this year me thinks...

I recon it's down to them getting rid of their best players like Cole and Reyas and not really replacing them with players of class. They are a team in decline.
