Okay, my friend was supposed to come over at 10:00 today, to go shopping with me(we're in 7th grade). She is not here and it is now 10:22. I know she was supposed to come to my house right after her French lesson which ends at 9:45, and she said she would be here at 10:00. She only lives 15 minutes away from my house. I tried to call her at home, but no one would answer. No one answered yesterday either. I would call her mom's cell phone, but I am scared to because her parent are very Eastern-European, because they are immigrants. I don't know if they will find it offensive if I call her mom. Her mom is Polish. My friend herself does not have a cell phone. What should I do?

call her parents. Explain you had plans to go shopping. You are worried something may be wrong. I think any parent would not mind a concerned call like that. But, I think you need to give her a little bit more time. She is only 22 minutes late---her French lesson could have run late!

If she arrives late, don't answer the door. Leave the house if necessary. When you run into her again, don't bring it up. When she makes another appointment with you, decline. At that time, you can -- in a nonthreatening way -- tell her that she has been unreliable in the past.

you can ether call them or forget about her until she reacts and explains, I've had friends like that and I gave up, which is probably wrong but I prefer not to have them near, but that's me
