It's main character gets transported into an alternative reality after a particle accelerator accident and has to fight these aliens with laser guns. In the end he flies away on a bird like thing with a newfound alien friend...

It was called Out Of This World.
There is also a sequel called Heart Of The Alien.
You can find them both on Sega CD, if you have an old one laying around. Otherwise, it should be pretty easy to find on an abandonware website.

outworld? it was kinda like flashback... same game different plot... yeah outworld
if its the same one i think it is, you started it by swinging a cage to break free... and then get disintegrated by the enemy, lol
by the way, any 13 year old pricks, stop being ignorent to think that your a gaming generation... just cos the game is old doesn't mean at the time it wasn't great.
