I haven't had a period for six months. I know for sure that I'm not pregnant. I have taken a pregnancy test every month and of course it's nevative. Anyway, also once had endomatriosis before but I had a couple of procedures done to correct the problem. Well, I never went back for my check-ups cause the hospital got it's records system all ****** up after Katrina. So that you know all of this info can any of you tell me what reasons you can think of that my periods would stop.

No one can tell you what is going on except a doctor after he examines you and runs some tests. You need to see the doctor to find out what is going on.

Your periods can stop for a variety of reasons. Stress, improper eating, weight loss, etc. However if you've had issues with endometriosis before, you need to see your ob/gyn immediately. Even if you have no other systems, there could still be some underlying problem that you need to have checked out. Make sure you give your doctor as much information as possible and with your records being lost they may have to do some tests to see what's going on. Please take care of this, as you could have something majorly wrong, that you don't know about. Periods are your body's way of shedding the things it doesnt need. However if you are on some birth control pills, shots, etc you might not have one every month, but that would be explained easily.
good luck .

My ex had endomitriosis, as some of the ladies have already mentioned. She could go months with out a period, or have 2 or 3 in one month. She knew her problem, we dealt with it. Stress was a major thing that messed with her. Bills, holidays, family situations... what ever it might be, I'd find a new doc.. and go that route.. sometimes a new person will find more about you than one you've been seeing.

Many times under tremendous amounts of stress, your body will stop having periods. Sounds like if you were near Katrina, you have some reason for stress, no?

Stress, time zone changes, diet changes, significant weight loss or gain...Any of these factors can trigger your period to change dramatically or even stop for a prolonged period of time. If you're really concerned, I would suggest going to see a doctor.

If you went thru Katrina, it could def be stress! If you had endomitriosis I'd seek out medical attention to make sure you are ok.

I have to agree with everyone, it's probably stress but you should find yourself a doctor just to be sure there isn't something else going on.
