First choose something you already know about, second make sure its something that people will be interested in learning about. Think of yourself and your audience. You might really like knitting and appreciate it but if the rest of your class is going to be bored to tears its a bad choice. If you like a new musical group and your friends and classmates do too, they would enjoy hearing more about them.
