If you get your hopes up, and expect the best, something always goes terribly wrong and screws up the whole thing.........

If you expect the worst, something goes miraculously right, and you're in awe of the positive forces at work.........

BTW - I find it quite interesting that Yahoo suggested i put this Q in the category! :P

This is the reason i choose to be the way i am. I never expect the best so i am never let down. Been let down way too many times. It works out so much better this way. For once i am validated.

I tend to jinx myself regardless. I refuse to hope for things anymore. It's easier. But, I'm also pretty old, so maybe it's an age thing.

lol- I'm not surprised at the categorization...it's how this admin seems to be running the war!

for me, it's best to be in harmony with reality.
instead of choosing a viewpoint that is really different than reality.
i think i operate better when taking a realistic picture
instead of overly pessimistic or optimistic.
i would prefer to have expectations that pretty much line up with what really happens. i believe this is the best way to live.

Yes, exactly for me. And the way I see someone for the first time is COMPLETELY different from how I see them later.

**If I expect the worse, it may not go miraculousley right, but at least I'm not disappointed.**
** I really try not to get my hopes up, b/cuz I strongly believe that if you build up high expectations, you are setting yourself up for disappointment**
