Maybe you need to ask the teacher for extra credit and ask for more help with the subjects you are having trouble with and spend some more time studying. They are your grades and your responsibility

If you get bad grades its because you either are not understanding or handing in the work that the teacher gives you. It is YOUR responsibility to do that work and to ask for extra help understanding things that you do not get. Extra credit is for AFTER you have done the regular work to the best of your ability, not because you didnt do the regular work in the first place. Your parents want you to do the work ahead of you, to practice on your own. They are right. They need to step in if the reason you are not getting good grades is because you are having trouble understanding ( as would be evident by your completed homework - not lack of it - that has a bad grade) and THEN your teacher refuses to help you. By the way, calling her old will not help.

you are busy identifying what other people are doing wrong
(your parents and your teachers)
i actually don't believe that parents should intervene with the teachers too much. it is your job to do what the teacher requires to get the grades. if you didn't, then you pay the consequences (with your parents - xtra dishes and math). perhaps you should ask the teacher for extra work.
think about what YOU can do differently to fix the problem instead of about what others should do differently.

Why are you blaming your teacher? Maybe you should do extra math problems, it's your education. You ask the teacher for extra credit and show some initiative.

No one's always right, but most of the time, my parents are. Yes, you should do extra credit, it really helps bring your grade up. Trust me. :)

Teachers dont know everything. Sometimes they do lose your stuff and can be hard to deal with. But no matter how difficult they are you still have to pass.
