DEFINITELY Aries.
"Aggressive, competitive, independence, impulsive, initiates action, instinctive, self centered, adventurous, dynamic, pushy, vain, expressive, head strong, angry"
Because... well... that describes the character to a T! No other sign describes House quite as completely. Scorpio does mention "mysterious, very intelligent, surgeon" but some of the other aspects just don't cover the entirety of the character.

He most definatly has a scorpio moon .. likes the mystery behind the case. and has a way of finding out lies and an understanding of human nature. also he has a knack of responding quite extremely to situations.
for a sun sign i would have to guess Aquarius, hes not that neat or doesnt obsess about being of service to people. so that rules out virgo. and hes smart, has a large knowledge base of the facts in medicine and has an original .. off beat way of living life. definatly a little bit eccentric.
i would have to guess Gemini Rising, because it might put his midheaven in Aries which gives him a lot of energy to push boundrys at work and might give him a rude selfish reputation.. also the gemini rising would give him a sharp and quick mind.

i would say a libra (with a virgo rising)
as both star signs have great intelect & charm thou libra is logical,irational, loving, caring,giving & virgo is manipulative,padantic, & wreckless! yet the to share eclectic qualitys of expensive tastes,& the need to have equal stimulation & seperaton from the world (oh also they both have really bad temper & are always right even when wrong lol) thats how i see dr house
